Barry Fisher

​Barry B. Fisher is a mediator and arbitrator in Toronto. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979 and has been an ADR practitioner since 1987. His practice focuses on both labour matters as well as employment law matters. In 2011, Barry was awarded the Ontario Bar Association Award of Excellence in ADR. He is the author of the Wrongful Dismissal Database; an on-line database published by Carswell, designed to assist lawyers and human resource professionals in determining reasonable notice periods. He is one of the most often chosen mediators for employment law cases under the Ontario Mandatory Mediator Program (now Rule 78). Barry is a frequent presenter at seminars and educational courses on issues relating to employment law, labour law and ADR.   He is the past Chair of the ADR Section of the Ontario Bar Association and was formerly on the executive of the Ontario Labour Management Arbitrators Association and the Labour & Employment Section of the Ontario Bar Association.
